New Voter Registration - Election Commission India

Sultanganj is a Nagar Parishad town in the district of Bhagalpur, Bihar. The Sultanganj city is divided into 25 wards for which elections are held every five years. The Sultanganj Nagar Parishad has a population of 52,892 of which 28,240 are adult males at the same time as 24,652 are ladies as per a report released by Census India 2011.

Who is eligible for enrollment as a Voter?

  • Each Citizen who is 18 years of age on the qualifying date which is the first January of the concerned year, except if excluded is qualified to be enrolled.
  • Enrollment only at an ordinary place of residence.
  • The name should not be present on the electoral roll anywhere.
  • An Overseas Indian who has been at the passport address as an ordinary resident.
  • Service Voters are deemed to be ordinarily resident at their home address.
