Mandar Mountain is located in Banka district, 50 km from Bhagalpur. Mandar Mountain is also known as Motheranchal. Mandar Hill also has its own religious significance. It is said that the gods used Mandar mountain to make mathani and to manthan the sea. For Hindus, this mountain is the holy refuge of Lord Vishnu, so the people who follow Jainism consider it to be associated with the famous Tirthankara Lord Vasupujya.  People of tribal origin consider this area to be a Siddhi area and a day before Makaraskranti, they perform Siddhi Puja all night here| On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the largest Santali Mela is organized here in which lakhs of people come| Hundreds of ancient idols, caves, demolished chaityas and temples engraved on the rocks of Mandar are silent witnesses of religious and cultural pride. Standing for centuries, the Mandar mountain is still associated with the faith and faith of the people. The natural beauty of this place and the pond near the mountain make the atmosphere here even more attractive| This place gives quite a pleasant experience for tourists coming here.
