Dr. Karan Kumar Honored with Outstanding PhD Thesis Award
Dr. Karan Kumar of Sultanganj was awarded the Outstanding PhD Thesis Award at the 26th convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. Dr. Kumar's journey from Sultanganj to the prestigious IIT Guwahati and RWTH Aachen University in Germany, renowned for its research excellence, exemplifies his tireless dedication and academic brilliance.
Karan cleared the IIT JEE Mains exam and pursued a BTech in Biotechnology at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut in Kerala. In 2017, he was selected for the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Fellowship. His undergraduate thesis at NIT Calicut focused on the "Synthesis of Carbon Nanoparticles from Food Waste and Application in Drug Delivery to Cancer Cells." After completing his BTech in 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister Research Fellowship to pursue his PhD at IIT Guwahati.
