Transformation Underway: Enhancing Facilities for Kanwariyas in Shravani Mela 2024
Preparation for the upcoming Shravani Mela is in full swing, particularly concerning facilities for Kanwariyas. The transformation of the Kanwaria path is underway, with officials from various departments working tirelessly to ensure readiness.
Devotees from across the country and abroad are expected to commence their 105 km journey in three days. Mrityunjay Kumar, Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, highlighted the rapid progress in the Nagar Panchayat area, noting that remaining tasks will be completed within two days.
On Monday, maintenance work by the electricity department included painting poles to safeguard against electric currents and installing a backup power supply worth 11,000 KW to mitigate the impact of power outages lasting over seven hours.
Simultaneously, construction work for the inauguration stage and Kanwaria pandal at Namami Gange Ghat is progressing. Late on Monday, Mrityunjay Kumar and Chief Councilor Rajkumar Guddu reviewed preparations and emphasized timely completion of remaining tasks.
